Forestieri took part in the Spanish Civil War and served in the VI Gruppo.

On 8 June 1938, over Lucena del Cid, Sottotenente Elia Mussolin claimed a Curtiss individually and a Rata in collaboration with Tenente Forestieri. On this occasion Mussolin also claimed a damaged Curtiss.

Baccara ended the war Spanish Civil War with 1 shared biplane victory.
